Abstract
The study's primary purpose was to understand and identify the areas of impact of using Generative AI technology in a higher-learning studio environment. During the UX, UI, and visual design project cycle, fifty-seven college students, from first-year undergraduates to graduate students, provided discussions and feedback on using Generative AI tools like ChatGPT, Runway, and Dall-E 2 to identify the tools' effectiveness in accelerating the students' ideation and synthesizing the user research learning process, especially in the understanding and exploration phase of design thinking.
